Despite the temperature as of late (83 degrees today! Yaaaas...), the presence of Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks does remind a girl that it is fall, which means it will be getting colder soon. So, it's time to buckle down and start prepping- and what better way than by knitting?
I know- so much pink, right? I think if I had to go back and do things over I would have picked a different color just because I'm worried I'll have a hard time pairing these mitts with the rest of my wardrobe!
The pattern is called "Gone Fishin'" by Tera Johnson and can be found on Ravelry (you must have an account- and really, you should have an account because it's an awesome site).
Everything about it was pretty straightforward. I used Lamb's Pride worsted weight (85% wool, 15% mohair). The color is Strawberry Smoothie and it was on clearance at my local yarn store so of course I needed it in my life.
I did pick up an extra skein of yarn because, like I said, it was on clearance, so I can probably make a matching hat. At least that way I'll have one item in my closet that matches these mitts!
